Bahntier is Justin Bennett, Stefano Rossello and Filippo Corradin's band. Their latest record Blindoom is one of the best releases of 2006. The album is full of energy and interesting musical moments, a real electro-industrial masterpiece. Highly recommended release!

Mythmaker - Review

In Skinny Puppy We Trust.
They have never disappointed. Their main strength lies in their constant reforming ability. They can always raise their former experiences to a higher level without repeating themselves. It does not make sense to have expectations from them since they never stick down at a well-working formula. From album to album they go on new roads bravely experimenting with areas never touched by others. Their uniqueness and their albums' high technical-art level raise them up as mountains among their contemporaries.
The Soundtrack of the 21st Century.
In case of Mythmaker, they go beyond all these. This is probably their most varied and creative album so far. There are epic journeys (Magnifishit, Haze), heavy craziness (Pedafly, Ugli), dark ballad (Jaher), carefully composed noise (Lestiduz), but mostly the electronics - ranging from redefined insustrial to screwed techno rhythms - prevail (Dal, Politikil, Pasturn, Ambiantz). All these are crowned by Ogre's singing, who experiments with his voice like never before. It sounds as if all of their musical faces are concentrated into one album and they created a brand new and incomparable essence from their best moments. There are lots of things waiting to be discovered and figured out on this album. Similarly to all of their other works, Mythmaker is also strange and unusal for the first time and needs to be listened carefully several times so that every time newer and newer tiny detail becomes discovered for the attantive medical student. The lots of work they spent on this album can be felt from the first sound to the last letter of the extremely beautiful cover. A brave and unique work in the age of mass-music, which can turn even the most experienced fans into excited kids.

What’s the meaning behind the title of the album?

oGre: I’ve always wanted to do something that was a sarcastic, “Oh what a wonderful world this is,” the idea of making these big statements and then just going like "Oh yeah, bullshit." That’s kind of the idea of the mythmaker and all of these mythical applications, whether it be in the context of how people view histories of things in order to somehow create a much bigger mythic archetype, or how we deal with history in the sense of the current situation in the world.
